I got an animated abc of a soft sphere hitting the ground. The animation takes place over 70 frames, but the shot length is a few hundred frames and I’d like some frames preroll for the eddy sim.
I was going to write out the result of the MeshToVolume node as a vdb sequence, but the VDBCacheLoader node has no control for holding the first and last frame as a static volume, so the volume just disappears.
Could that be added for scenarios like this (i.e. “before” and “after” options like the Read node so we can hold the frames)?
In the meantime I guess I can use a few Switch nodes or just write out all those static frames as vdb as well.
Or am I missing something?
